Τοῖς δ᾿ ἐπὶ καὶ Κώφης τρίτος ἕςπεται ἀργυροδίνης,
Tertius hos sequitur splendenti gurgite Cophes.
Ubi in errore procul dubio versatur, si Cophen ordine tertium, Ortum versus, intet fluvios in Indum se exonerantes, post Hydaspen et Acesinen hîc statuat; nam Strabo, Mela, aliique Geographi, inter primos ad Occidentem, ante Indum ipsum, eum numerant: statuendum igitur, Dionysium non ad ordinem situs hîc respicere, sed fluvios in Indum influentes confuse tantum enumerare. Nic. Lloydius. Aliter Cophen, Graece Κωφὴς vel Κωφὴν dictus est, postea Suasti, Σουάςτου, nomen accepit, uti ex Ptolemaeo discimus.
